Imposter syndrome

Imposter syndrome is a term that describes the fear that you are not good enough. It happens when you feel like your work is not as good as others let's say in the art industry, and that can make it difficult for you to create your art well.

Imposter syndrome can affect anyone, but it's especially common among creative individuals like artists and writers. Artists who are new to the industry may be unsure of their abilities, so they feel like they need to put in extra work and practice to get their name out there, which means they have less time for actual art-making. Artists may feel like their art is inferior to what other people have done, even though they've worked really hard on it! One compares their day 1 progress to someone's day 2345, As a result; they end up hiding their works.

But there are ways to overcome this self-doubt! You can practice making art every day and learn from your mistakes as you go along so that eventually your confidence builds up along with your skill level and quality of work.

The good news is that imposter syndrome is not permanent and you can get over it. One way to do this is to remind yourself of your accomplishments and the hard work you've put in to get where you are. Keeping a record of your small wins, such as that most liked art on social media, good comments reviews, and testimonials, can help to boost your confidence and remind you of your abilities. Another way to overcome imposter syndrome is to reframe your thoughts and focus on the process rather than the outcome. This can help you to enjoy the journey and not be so focused on perfection.

Also as an artist, it's important to remember that you're in charge of your own success, not anyone else's opinion about what kind of artist you are! There's always room for improvement! The best artists will always be looking for ways to grow as an artist, so don't be afraid to take risks with your work or try something new if it seems interesting. I personally believe there is no bad or good art. Art is an art by itself and it's subjective. You need to know what makes YOU happy so that you can focus on doing that. Isn't life all about that?
